Being aware of the necessity to reduce energy consumption, in 2013 KIVANÇ has installed its solar energy system with total capacity of 499,2 Kwp. System has been installed on the roof of our factory and cover 11000 sqm of surface area. With 130W capacity of each, total quantity of panels is 3840 pieces. Panels are assembled with a 20 degree angle to the southern direction. Solar power plant also includes 40 pcs. Fronius inverters with the capacity 0f 12,48 KW/pc.
Thanks to the cutting edge film technology in Mitsubishi models, currently, Kıvanç solar plant produces electricity of 750.000KW and reduced 1.653 ton of carbon emissions since 2013.
Kıvanç Tekstil is fully aware of environmental concerns regarding climate change therefore company applies significant policy due to emissions to air from production facilities. Environment and Waste Management of the company regularly checks sources of emissions to air on an annual basis.
Considering the fact that at each stage of textile production, especially in finishing, needs a lot of water, KIVANÇ is taking extra care about using this one of the most important natural resources. We are putting extra efforts to reduce use of water and minimize effects of risky chemicals from industrial water use through facility’s purification plants. These plants are installed in order to treat the water that used during the production processes and bring it back to the least polluted state. Purification of industrial used water is one of the complicated and expensive process but the most important benefit of this is minimal harm to environment due to discharge of industrial used water.
